Amalgam Biotech Awarded By – “INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD”

Amalgam Biotech, a division of Amalgam Engineering, has been honoured with the MCCIA Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards 2018(Hari Malini Joshi Award) for developing a new product, design or prototype or for import substitute item .

The Hari Malini Joshi award for New Product Design and Innovation is one of the most prestigious awards in India which was started in 1946 by MCCIA.

On behalf of Amalgam Biotech, the award was received by Ashutosh Vadanagekar (Managing Director) and Amruta Gore ( Process Engineer).

Amalgam Biotech received this award because of its revolutionary product “Bacta Cult” – a bio-culture with superbugs bacteria to remove water pollution. It is used in the industries for Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), residential colonies for Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), polluted lakes and in river cleaning.

Amalgam has developed 16 new products of Bacta Cult to cater different problems for treating waste water biologically. They have also developed products for different waste water like Textile, Pulp & Paper, Dairy, Lake and etc. They have received order to supply product to clean  200 MLD of drain flowing in river Ganga under Namami Gange Project.
