Why Bioculture is Essential for Wastewater Treatment

Bioculture plays a key role in wastewater treatment by increasing the population of beneficial microbes that naturally degrade organic pollutants. Plants often struggle with high BOD and COD, unstable MLSS, odour, slow biodegradation and shock load issues. Bioculture strengthens the biological ecosystem inside the aeration tank or digester, helping the system recover faster and operate more efficiently. It supports stable treatment even when influent quality fluctuates and reduces the need for chemical additives.

How Bioculture Works

Bioculture introduces selected strains of bacteria that release enzymes which break down fats, oils, grease, carbohydrates, proteins and nitrogen compounds. These microbes convert complex pollutants into simpler forms that can be easily processed by the treatment system. The microbes accelerate processes such as sludge digestion, nitrification, denitrification, methanogenesis and organic waste breakdown. This helps create a balanced microbial environment that improves settling, stabilises MLSS and enhances overall treatment efficiency.
