BactaServe Pulp and Paper - Bioculture for Paper Mill ETP

BactaServe Pulp and Paper is a specialised bioculture formulated for pulp and paper mill wastewater. It contains selected aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms that degrade lignin, cellulose, sizing agents, surfactants and fibrous solids. The formulation helps improve biological treatment efficiency, reduces organic load and supports stable ETP performance in paper manufacturing operations.

BactaServe Bioculture Pulp & Paper product pouch by Amalgam, orange and black packaging designed for pulp and paper industry wastewater treatment applications.

BactaServe Pulp & paper

Pack Size -1Kg

Paper mill wastewater is rich in lignocellulosic compounds, fibres, suspended solids and surfactants that are difficult to degrade. BactaServe Pulp and Paper contains high performance microbes that target these compounds and improve biodegradation in aeration tanks and biological reactors. Regular use helps reduce BOD and COD, improve settling and minimise odour issues.

Key Features

  • Breaks down lignin and cellulose

  • Degrades sizing agents, dyes and surfactants

  • Reduces fibrous solids and organic sludge

  • Supports aerobic and facultative anaerobic digestion

  • Enhances BOD and COD reduction

  • Improves overall ETP stability and efficiency

Benefits of BactaServe Pulp and Paper

  • Helps degrade complex lignocellulosic waste

  • Reduces odour and sludge buildup

  • Supports stable treatment under varying loads

  • Improves settling and clarifier performance

  • Enhances biodegradation in aeration systems

  • Helps lower operational and treatment costs

Suitable Applications

BactaServe Pulp and Paper is ideal for:

  • Paper mill ETP systems

  • Aeration tanks

  • MBBR and MBR systems

  • Secondary biological treatment

  • Clarifiers and equalisation tanks

  • Systems facing lignin and fibre overload

How BactaServe Pulp and Paper Works

The microbial strains produce enzymes that break down lignin, cellulose, surfactants and fibrous materials present in pulp and paper wastewater. As these are decomposed into simpler compounds, the biological system becomes more efficient, allowing faster digestion and improved oxygen utilisation. This results in better BOD and COD reduction and a cleaner effluent.

Dosage and Application

Mixing Instructions

Mix 1 kg of BactaServe in 20 litres of feed water. For larger batches, increase water proportionally.

Dosage Guidelines

Dose as per the recommended schedule based on wastewater volume and organic load. Your technical consultant will determine the exact dosage.
