Sidebar Filter Presses (SE & ME Series)
ANDRITZ sidebar filter presses are designed for operations where quick installation, reliable batch dewatering, and low maintenance costs are critical. In this design, the entire plate pack is supported by two heavy-duty steel side rails, creating a compact system that fits easily into facilities with limited space
How it works: Slurry is pumped into the filter chambers, where solids are retained on the filter cloth while the filtrate passes through and is collected. Once the filtration cycle is complete, an automated plate shifter opens the plates sequentially, allowing the dewatered filter cake to discharge efficiently for easy handling and disposal

Overhead Filter Presses (AE, A4, & MiningMaster ME4 Series)
ANDRITZ overhead filter presses are designed for high-capacity and demanding separation applications where maximum equipment uptime is essential. In this design, the filter plates are suspended from a strong, heavy-duty top beam instead of being supported by side rails.
During operation, the plate-shifting and hydraulic transport mechanisms are mounted on the overhead beam. Slurry is fed through the plate pack under high pressure, forming dense filter cakes. Once the filtration cycle is complete, the plates open from above, allowing the filter cakes to drop directly into a collection bunker or conveyor below for easy handling and removal.
